Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Houston, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Texas run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Houston follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is a great little spot in the Heights for Thai and other Asian small plates. My wife and I greatly enjoyed a sampling of dishes and some tasty beverages. The fully dressed oysters were amazing (highly recommend) but everything was fantastic. I highly recommend stopping in, grabbing a smoked old fashioned (three smoke varieties to choose from), and ordering a lot of dishes to share. You can thank me later!

What an incredible dining experience! I visited Thai Tapas on a Thursday for Happy Hour, and it exceeded every expectation. I started with the fried Thai chicken, and it was crispy, flavorful, and the perfect appetizer. For my cocktail, I ordered their signature blue Mai Tai, which was not only beautiful to look at but also refreshing and delicious. The highlight of the evening was the whole red snapper . Wow! The presentation alone was worthy of five stars, but the flavor took it to another level. The fish was perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and honestly one of the best seafood dishes Iβve had. Every bite was absolutely amazing. What made the experience even better was the outstanding service. Every member of the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. You can tell they take pride in making every guest feel at home. If youβre looking for authentic Thai flavors, great cocktails, and exceptional hospitality, Thai Tapas is a must-visit. Whether youβre a Houston local or just visiting the city, put this restaurant on your listβyou wonβt regret it. I already know where Iβll be eating the next time Iβm in Houston. I canβt wait to come back!

The flavors and textures here are phenomenal, best Thai food I've had in Houston by far. The happy hour(s) was/were gracious in scope and content. All the dishes were hot, attractive, and delicious. The owner Ami as well as the staff were attentive and accommodating. Also, the space was clean and sharp in a modern minimalist way. I have nothing bad to say about it and will be back again soon.
